Mt Taruva
This photo was taken from the MV Rita as we rounded the Tarui point to enter the harbour at Rabaul. This is the volcano that made such a mess of Rabaul, note the ash all around the mountain. Actually, the volcano was almost at the end of the airport's main runway: the airport is now buried under ash and probably never to be used again! Read about it in
