« Here we are again in Palmerston North296 km to New Plymouth and back again »

The biggest Kauri in the World!

Yesterday we saw the biggest Kauri tree in the World. We also saw the second biggest and the seventh biggest, as well as many also-rans.

We also discovered that tourism is a dreadful scourge, not much different to raping and pillaging in many ways. We've enjoyed the time off the beaten track a lot more than the time in places like Paihia. The bushwalking was wonderful.

Today we're heading North a little, Nat wants to shop and we'll check out one of the Kauri museums. Tomorrow we'll take the kids to the airport to fly home and we'll wend our way back to Palmerston North.
